Duminda Seneviratne

Head of Sales Operations

Jovial, talkative, with a broad, good natured smile etched perpetually on his face, and always ready with a joke; 'Dumi' makes a lasting first impression. A people person by nature and a born salesman, he takes to his role like a duck to water.

Starting his career at Digitech as a sales representative in his natural element, Dumi moved to the Bartleet Group, DPIT, and finally ETPL before joining N*able. Although he was doing well at ETPL, Dumi decided to change course and take on a new challenge by joining a startup.

"Peter was well known in the industry as a visionary guy and I wanted to work with him. After hearing his vision for the company and the people who were already on board, I wanted in."

As one of the very first recruits of N*able, Dumi, using his extensive contacts, helped put together a winning team at the very outset when forming the company. Speaking of its inception and the ensuing recession, Dumi takes pride in knowing that the team managed to pull through.

"It was a survival game for more than 24 months. There was a period of time when everyone, including Peter, agreed to take pay cuts. There were so many rumours going around that N*able will not sustain beyond 3 months or 6 months, but together, we managed to overcome it all."

Today Dumi plays an integral part in N*able's sales function. As Head of Sales Operations he has the responsibility of challenging the sales team with new targets while being a key contributor himself managing key accounts such as Dialog Axiata and Mobitel. His disciplined, strict and pragmatic approach coupled with his easy going personality and his take on life combine to create a unique mix of opposing forces which make him a natural leader.

Always a team player, he is the first to greet anyone walking through the doors of N*able with some good-natured ribbing. An ardent rugby fan, he is actively involved as an old boy at his alma mater, Isipathana College. He has been instrumental in establishing the culture of N*able, unanimously dubbed its 'Chief Entertainment Officer'.
